The “Espresso” singer surprised fans by performing a duet with Swift for a mashup at the Caesars Superdome on Saturday, Oct. 26
Sabrina Carpenter is raving about her latest Eras Tour surprise!
The “Espresso” singer, 25, reflected on her experience joining friend Taylor Swift onstage during her Saturday, Oct. 26, concert at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans — with a cheeky nod to one of her biggest hits.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, Carpenter shared a video and some photos on Instagram, highlighting her surprise appearance at Swift’s most recent Eras Tour gig, alongside a caption about what the moment meant to her.
“Only stage I’d ever wanna see on a day off!!!!” Carpenter — who is currently continuing her ongoing Short n’ Sweet Tour — captioned the post.
“Thank you for working late, thank you for being a singer and thank you for having me🤍,” she added, referencing her hit song. “@taylorswift I love you!!”
As previously reported, the pop star duo teamed up on Saturday for an unexpected mashup of Carpenter’s songs “Espresso” and “Please, Please Please,” as well as Swift’s track “Is It Over Now?”
Naturally, Carpenter’s cameo took place during Swift’s surprise songs portion of the show, when Swift, 34, put her friend “on speakerphone” before asking her to “come down to the stadium real quick” in front of the crowd.
Well, Carpenter did just that, and the surprise marked a full-circle moment for the singer, who is coming off a milestone summer of music charting success. Carpenter previously performed as a supporting act during the Eras Tour — when she joined Swift at her shows in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Australia and Singapore.
She also previously duetted with Swift in Sydney for a medley of the songs “White Horse” and “Coney Island” earlier in the year.
Swift’s Eras Tour is now winding down after first kicking off on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Ariz., and making stops throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. After Swift’s third and final New Orleans show on Sunday, she will perform a three-night stint in Indianapolis, followed by six nights in Toronto.
