Carpenter began opening for Swift on her Eras Tour beginning in August 2023
Sabrina Carpenter has nothing but praise for Taylor Swift!
In a clip from a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning shared to X (formerly Twitter), the “Espresso” musician, 25, opened up about the impact of the “Fortnight” singer’s ongoing support and what it’s been like to be around her.
“You just watch her, like, walk in a room and it’s very easy to understand that she’s so composed, she’s graceful, she’s gracious,” Carpenter, who was an opener on a chunk of Swift’s Eras Tour dates, said during the segment.
The “Nonsense” performer also dished on the advice Swift, 34, has given her when it comes to grappling with fame.
“I wouldn’t say it’s, like, a verbal thing as much as just, like, she’s very supportive of me and knows who I am as a person and is very supportive of that. So I’m grateful for that,” Carpenter said

In Variety’s August 2024 cover story, she reflected on her “best, best” friendship with Taylor Swift, which blossomed from their time spent together on the Eras Tour.
In the interview, Carpenter called the 14-time Grammy winner a “rock star” — a reaction to a record store’s decision to file Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department in the “rock” section.
“She’s just such a gangster with all of it,” the “Sharpest Tool” singer said of the pop superstar. “No matter what people are saying, everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Carpenter discussed her headline-making SKIMS campaign, which sparked lots of conversation online given Swift’s highly-publicized feud with the shapewear brand’s founder, Kim Kardashian.
“The posts about me having to ‘ask for her permission’ — no,” the Girl Meets World alum told the publication. “She’s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend.”
