“I’m really excited to meet them because I know they are very smart,” Wilson said of her future in-laws
Rebel Wilson and her fiancée Ramona Agruma have been engaged for more than a year, but the actress has yet to meet her future in-laws.
In a video interview with Today.com shared on Tuesday, June 11, the Rebel Rising author, 44, revealed that cultural differences play a role in why she and Agruma’s mother and father haven’t met in person — despite the couple going public with their romance in June 2022.

In a video interview with Today.com shared on Tuesday, June 11, the Rebel Rising author, 44, revealed that cultural differences play a role in why she and Agruma’s mother and father haven’t met in person — despite the couple going public with their romance in June 2022.
“Ramona was born in Latvia, and it’s not as LGBTQ+-friendly as other countries are,” Wilson said of her partner’s European upbringing.
“I just think some people need a bit more time — and some people won’t ever come around to it, and that’s fine, and that’s their decision,” she added. “There are still parts of the world that aren’t as accepting.”
Still, the Pitch Perfect talent couldn’t be happier for their upcoming meeting as the couple plans to travel to Europe in just a few weeks.
“I’m really excited to meet them because I know they are very smart. Ramona’s mother is a doctor,” Wilson said while discussing her partner’s parents.
Her fiancée is the founder and designer of Lemon Ve Limon, a sustainable clothing company based in Los Angeles.
Wilson added that her and Agruma’s 19-month-old daughter, Royce Lillian, who was born via surrogate in November 2022, has made their meeting more manageable.
“Roycie is the real icebreaker — they’ve been FaceTiming with her,” the Bridesmaids alum said.
“She sets up our first date for a few hours after I land: lunch at the Hotel Bel-Air,” Wilson’s book reads. “I’m so nervous. I’m also worried that if Ramona and I do hit it off, I don’t have much sexual experience with a woman. And I’ve only had time to read half of the Girl Sex 101 book.”
The comedian adds that instead of actually eating lunch, they go “to the bathroom and make out.”
From there, things only got steamier.
” ‘I think you need to come back to my house,’ I say. I’ve never just invited someone straight back home, but I’m only in L.A. for the week,” Wilson continued.
“I take her to my bedroom. We just … connect. It feels beautiful.
