Radio presenter declares no payola, no music airplay

Adom FM presenter known popularly as Mike Two wants musicians and producers to pay what has generally been known as Payola before their songs could be played insisting that is the latest order in 2019.

According to him, same way as they pay for their songs to be recorded, there is a need for them to pay payola to get the songs promoted.

The issue of payola has dominated several headlines and discussions on the entertainment scenes in Ghana.

Some section of the public believe that it’s a good thing while others are opposed to it.

In a post on Facebook, the presenter said “Errmmm my position on payola is very simple…this yr if u want ur song to be promoted pay as u paid for recording the song…No free promotion…”.
