R. Kelly’s personal finances are reportedly a mess.

As reported last evening, R. Kelly turned himself in to authorities after an arrest warrant was made out in his name. With the implications of the charges laid out in plain view at the Leighton Criminal Court Building in Cook County, R. Kelly watched in silence as prosecutors fought long and hard for a non-authorization, forbidding him the right to seek bail. But in the end, the arbitrator chose to uphold Kelly’s personal right to a nominal fee of $250,000 for all 4 of his indictments.

What that entails: if R. Kelly can produce $1 million he can return home before his impending trial is set to begin. The problem is.. R. Kelly’s personal finances are currently a mess, according to his attorney. There’s a belief R. Kelly can only afford $100,000 of that sum, at the present moment, but he is understandably working towards securing the full amount, with the help of his lawyers and financiers.

R. Kelly has been formally charged with the sexual abuse of 4 women, of which at least 3 were believed to be minors when the alleged incidents took place. A report provided by attorney Michael Avenatti goes onto describes sequences of oral and vaginal sex with women between the ages of 13 and 17. He later uploaded screenshots of the purported sex tapes that form the basis of the latest sexual abuse charges. Prosecutors are ponying up their efforts out of fear Kelly will find yet another legal loophole in this go around – even though by all accounts, he is terribly scared of losing the air invincibility which has guarded him thus far.
