R. Kelly has turned himself into the police following his sexual abuse charges.
R. Kelly has finally turned himself into Chicago police. The Sun-Times just got footage of Kellz surrendering to police Friday night at the Chicago Police Department in downtown Chicago.
This come just hours after Kellz was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, 9 of which are with underage girls. There are 4 alleged victims in total, and one of them is the subject of 4 different counts. If convicted, R. Kelly could be facing some serious time behind bars. Each of his charges are a class 2 felony, caring 3-7 years per charge (and he’s got 10).
Kelly reportedly left his West Side studio around 7:45 p.m. Friday night, surrounded by about a dozen members of his entourage and security guards. It was unclear where he was going, but followed by several news crews, they worked their way to the police station where he turned himself in.
We’ll continue to keep you posted on Kellz’ situation moving forward. Peep the footage (below).
