Prince Harry Gets Spooked by a Panda, Werewolves and Possibly ‘Michael Bublé’ in Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Tonightmares’ Maze
The Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ Thursday, Sept. 26
Werewolves! Pandas! And was that Michael Bublé?
Prince Harry and Jimmy Fallon weren’t afraid to get a little frightened as they kicked off the spooky season together.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, made an appearance on Thursday’s Sept. 26 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during his whirlwind trip to New York City. For the occasion, instead of sitting down for a standard interview, they cautiously — and loudly — made their way through a haunted maze at Rockefeller Center created by Fallon called Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares.
Before entering the maze, Harry says he’s “not normally” scared easily. However, he confessed, “Today might be different.”
The adventure starts with the pair entering a broken elevator that quickly drops to the ground. When the doors open, they’re immediately met with their first scary character who directs them on where to go. As they slowly walk through the haunted maze, they each insist the other lead the way as terrifying characters pop out at them, bringing screams and laughter throughout the video.
Things take a turn when they encounter a panda, an animal Fallon quickly points out that Harry is afraid of.
“No, I’m not!” Harry jokes as he runs away.
Their journey continues with Harry and Fallon watching a small television that shows Fallon dressed as a character and holding a dog, which he describes as a “rare breed.”
Harry tells Fallon, “You look great,” and Fallon responds, “Thank you.” But the mood shifts from light to eerie just moments later when the Fallon on the television transforms into a scary character, his eyes lighting up as he appears to make a hacking noise and the dog vanishes.
Harry, who’s wearing a bodycam to capture his honest reaction, is noticeably taken aback before he’s distracted by another scary element: a zombie-like werewolf that emerges from a nearby door and scares both him and Fallon. The television personality, who was smiling and laughing moments before, then confesses, “Okay, that actually got me.”
Before they have a chance to catch their breath, another werewolf pops up from a box above them, and the lights flicker. Harry and Fallon hilariously let out candid screams.
Making their way through the maze, Harry and Fallon kindly greet a man holding a hatchet and tell him, “Nice to see you.”
A disheveled man appears wearing a suit, and Harry jokingly asks, “Is that Michael Bublé?” as he and Fallon laugh and tell him he does “a great job on The Voice.”
When they run into a fright-night band who successfully scares them with guitars and drums. the real surprise comes when two of the band members express shock over Fallon’s guest.
