Post Malone Replaces Himself At No. 1 On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart
Posty remains at No. 1.
The boost is accompanied by the release of the “Wow” music video. The track’s video played a part in earning the song a total of 34.5 million streams in the United States for the week ending March 28th, marking a 15 percent jump, also aiding its bump up from 3 to No. 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart.
Elsewhere, the track remains at No. 1 for the third straight week on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart with 23,000 downloads in the week ending March 28th. On R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts, the song also rises 16-14 with a 4 percent increase, garnering an audience of 11.7 million. “Wow” now ties the Ty Dolla $ign collab “Psycho” for Post Malone’s third-highest-charting song on the airplay chart. The track falls behind “Rockstar”, which topped out at No. 1 in 2017 and “White Iverson” which peaked at No. 8 in 2015.
Posty is now the 14th artist to dethrone themselves at No. 1 on the chart. The last time it was done was when Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” knocked off Kodak Black’s “ZEZE.” Of all the artists who have done it, Drake holds the record for four times total.
