A police officer who went viral after photos of him selflessly carrying people at his back across the floods which hit the country last week has been rewarded by ace broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko.
The officer who has only been identified as Chief Inspector Mintah of the Accra Regional Police command went viral after Adomonline first shared the story where he was captured carrying a number of schoolchildren and other people at his back to safe grounds.
KOD said: “When I saw the story, I shared it on Facebook but after sharing, I said to myself, this officer is worth celebrating hence my decision to look for him”.
The recent flood submerged the capital and destroyed properties whilst others lost their lives, notably in Takoradi where a family of five lost their lives.
