Pete Davidson To Return To ‘SNL’ As Host Following His Exit
Pete Davidson is heading back to 30 Rock. The 29-year-old comedian is set to return to “Saturday Night Live” as a host in the upcoming May 6 episode of the popular NBC comedy series.
A source claimed to Page Six that the former cast member of the show “is very excited to go back.” The insider added, “[Leaving the show] has been a change of pace for him, but in a good way.”
Pete’s return to the series marks his first appearance on the show following his exit back in 2022. While it’s unknown if the actor will reprise his character Chad in the episode, it is expected that “The King of Staten Island” star will promote his upcoming Peacock comedy series “Bupkis”, which sees “SNL” boss Lorne Michaels serving as executive producer.
Of Pete’s former boss, the source said, “Lorne has always been a huge supporter of Pete and his creative vision and Pete thinks the world of Lorne.”
“Bupkis”, which Pete writes, produces and stars on, is described as a fictionalized version of his life growing up on Staten Island. The comedy series will additionally star Joe Pesci as his grandfather and Edie Falco as his mother.
A slew of celebrities are reportedly also set to make guest appearances on the forthcoming project including Charlie Day, Al Gore, Bobby Cannavale, John Mulaney, La La Anthony, Kenan Thompson and Machine Gun Kelly. Pete’s new girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, with whom he starred in “bodies, bodies, bodies”, will also appear on “Bupkis”.
