“It’s as good as everyone talks about,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said
Taylor Swift and her baked goods are a hit in the Mahomes’ house!
In a new episode of The Drive with Carrington Harrison published on Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, revealed that his and wife Brittany Mahomes’ eldest child loves the pop star, 34, for much more than her music.
“Has Taylor ever baked something for you? And what did she make you?” the radio host asked the sports star.
According to Patrick, Swift “has never baked anything specifically for me.”
“But she’s made different treats that have been around my house — muffins and donuts and stuff like that,” he shared.
“Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes,” said the father of two. “I’m not gonna say I don’t eat them.”
In addition to daughter Sterling, 3, Patrick and Brittany also share a son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 22 months. In a July 12 Instagram Reels, the couple announced they were expecting their third child together.
“Round three, here we come 🤍,” they captioned the post.
Swift, who has been dating Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce since last October, was photographed cradling Brittany’s growing belly in an Oct. 9 Instagram carousel posted by Brittany.
The photo was taken at a recent Kansas City Chiefs game as the ladies enjoyed their time, cheering on their partners from a suite.
“It’s as good as everyone talks about. She’s great as far as it comes to baking,” Patrick added in Tuesday’s interview.
Swift has a reputation of being a good baker.
In a late February interview with Mike Florio and Chris Simms during the NFL Scouting Combine, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed that Swift gifted a few of his players with homemade pop tarts.
“Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in — she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think — she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop tarts,” Reid said at the time. “So it was over. She knew right where to go.”
“That gets to the [Patrick] Mahomes heart,” the head coach added of the quarterback being appreciative of the sweets.
Unfortunately for Reid, the pastries were only for a lucky few.
“She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one,” he joked.
