Oh, we are so back, you guys. Rumor has it that Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie—the duo that forever transformed the reality TV landscape with The Simple Life—are reuniting for a new reality series, for which I will be positively, 100%, absolutely seated.
According to TMZ’s production sources, the series won’t be a reboot of The Simple Life. This is a brand-new show with a brand-new premise, though we don’t yet know what that might be. TMZ also reported that nothing has yet been filmed, so we’re talking very, very early stages.

That said, a reunion project might explain Hilton’s and Richie’s matching Instagram posts from May 8. The post shows a photo collage of the longtime besties throughout the years, from early childhood to the height of their combined fame. In their captions, both women wrote, “From Day 1: Sill and Bill????.”
The new show, whatever it might be, could also be the Simple Life 20th-anniversary “surprise” that Hilton hinted at during a November 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “Nicole and I have been talking, and we have some surprises in store. I can’t believe it’s going to be the 20-year anniversary. It’s so crazy,” she told Andy Cohen (per Entertainment Tonight).
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie may not be the heroic duo we deserve, but they are the heroic duo we need.
