“He’s a genius,” Grier told Jennifer Hudson of Snoop Dogg
Pam Grier reveals one more of Snoop Dogg’s talents!
The Foxy Brown star revealed during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show that airs Thursday, May 30, that the celebrated rapper “could kiss.”
After Hudson, 42, shared a clip of the rapper, 52, fawning over the actress and his first interaction with her on their 2000 film Bones, Grier, 75, said, “Oh my God, and he can smooch!”
She then gave Hudson a knowing look and smirk, adding, “Let me tell ya, let me tell ya.”
Bones paid homage to the start of Grier’s legendary career in blaxploitation genre films. The story follows Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dogg), who rises from the dead to seek revenge against those who murdered him, and the aftermath of his death from the perspective of his girlfriend, Pearl (Grier), two decades later.
When Snoop Dogg appeared on Hudson’s show on Jan. 26, he said he fainted the first time he met Grier.
“Pam Grier walked up and just sat right next to me and started talking. My heart beat fast, yeah, my heart beat fast. So I’m like, ‘Okay, I hear what you’re saying. Pam, give me a minute,’ ” Snoop Dogg said.
“I go to the bathroom and faint,” he continued. “I fainted, I’m laying on the ground. My security comes in there like, ‘Get off this nasty floor. Man, what are you doing?’ I looked up, and I said, ‘I just met Pam Grier.’ ”
On Thursday’s episode, Grier shared her initial reaction to the story with Hudson.
“When he told me that, I said, ‘Oh my God, I’m glad he didn’t hurt himself.’ I can see it now,” she said, adding that the former costars have “been friends forever” and “always supported each other’s art.”
Grier also mentioned the incident during the April 17 “After Show” episode of Watch What Happens Live. “He’s such a lovely person, I just couldn’t imagine him lying in urine,” she told host Andy Cohe
