The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of OLA Senior High School in Ho has donated a 200KVA generator set to the School.
The equipment is to enhance teaching and learning, especially when electricity power from the Power Distribution Services was out.
It is also to improve security in the girls’ school located at the foot of the Galenkui hills.
Mr Ferg Afedo, the PTA Chairman said the generator set could provide power to the whole school and ease difficulties tutors faced managing students during power outages.
He said the equipment, which cost GHS 375, 758.69, including installation, had 100 per cent protection with sensors and charged the School to make good use of it.
Madam Rosina Coffie, Headmistress of the School expressed gratitude to the PTA and said the donation was timely.
She assured that it would be put to good use for a conducive teaching and learning environment for the school community.
It was commissioned by Reverend Father Fidelix Kumado, the School’s Champlain on behalf of Most Reverend Emmanuel Fianu, SVD, Catholic Bishop of Ho Diocese.
