Young Dolph’s celebration of life took place on Thursday (December 16), and Dolph’s family was presented with a resolution for the official Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton, Jr. Day of Service In Tennessee and Georgia.

Tennessee State Senator Katrina Robinson presented the family with a plaque commemorating the day, and she told the crowd that Young Dolph’s day of service like Martin Luther King on January 17. This comes after Young Dolph had a street named after him in his old neighborhood. The sign was unveiled earlier this week at the intersection at Dunn Avenue and Airways Boulevard, which reads: Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton, Jr. Avenue.
