Nicole Kidman, Joey King and Zac Efron Pose for Photos at A Family Affair Premiere in L.A.

The trio, who star in their latest rom-com, stepped out at the Egyptian Theatre

Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and Joey King are celebrating the premiere of their new rom-com!

On Thursday, June 13, the trio stepped out at Los Angeles’ Egyptian Theatre for the premiere of their latest film, A Family Affair.

Efron, 36, arrived in a sharp gray suit with a fitted black shirt underneath and black dress shoes.

The actor posed on the blue carpet beside the leading ladies. Kidman, 56, stunned in a strapless nude gown, and King brought the drama in a sheer black skirt and top adorned with flowers that matched the color of Kidman’s dress.
Efron and Kidman appear in the film alongside King, 24, who plays a character named Zara — the daughter of Kidman’s character and the beleaguered assistant of movie star Chris Cole (played by Efron). In the film, Zara quits working for Chris over his womanizing behavior and demanding nature before discovering her widowed mother has become romantically entangled with the actor.

Back in April, PEOPLE shared an exclusive first look at the film, which Efron described as “funny, romantic and entertaining.”

Kidman and Efron last starred together in Lee Daniels’ 2012 thriller The Paperboy. Efron told PEOPLE that he had similar jitters while working with the Oscar winner once again on the set of A Family Affair.

“I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she is an actress, she is equally kind, caring, and wonderful to spend time with,” he said, promising their chemistry in the Netflix project is “seamless, natural and fun.”

Director Richard LaGravenese (P.S. I Love You) also revealed at the time that the chemistry between both creatives was “an answered prayer.”

“The interplay between Joey and Zac’s characters as an assistant and star is so much fun,” he said. “I also love the mother-daughter role reversal where the daughter becomes the disapproving, judgmental, suspicious parent and the mother is sneaking around her back having a love affair that makes her feel like she’s come back to life.”
