NDC are sour losers; dont mind them – Obiri Boahene

Nana Obiri Boahene of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as “bad losers”.

He said they would stop at nothing until they make so much inaccurate and fabricated claims as being the reason the party lost the just-ended by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

According to him, contrary to the claims by the NDC members that they withdrew from the election, their polling station agents participated fully and aggressively until the end of the election, and did not see why the NDC is now trying to get the sympathy of Ghanaians and also create an impression that the NPP intimidated voters to get the widow of the late Member of Parliament to win the election.

He was speaking in an interview over the weekend on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga when he was responding to questions that needed to be answered as regards the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

Touching on a claim by the NDC that there were heavily armed and intimidating “ninjas” at every polling station, Nana Obiri Boahene described the claim as “deliberate fabrication” and urged Ghanaians to ignore it.

“That is why sometimes I blame them. When you have people like Yaw Boateng Gyan and you decide to go for Joshua Akamba, what do you expect? You have Yaw Boateng Gyan and because he does not sing the song of John Mahama, you prefer Joshua Akamba,” he said.

Meanwhile, Joshua Akamba who also spoke on the same radio station rather decided to attack the Ghana Police Service, saying “… the NDC is no longer going to trust them and will not work with them anymore.”
