NBA YoungBoy Says He & Trippie Redd Are No Longer Friends: ‘I Don’t Fuck With That N-gga’

NBA YoungBoy has made it clear that he is no longer close with Trippie Redd after claiming the “Love Scars” rapper changed up on him.

During the latest episode of YoungBoy’s new radio show on Amazon’s Amp app, Never Broke Again Radio, the Louisiana native revealed the status of his relationship with Trippie. The two were once close friends and appeared on various songs together, but something caused them to drift apart.

According to YB, the two apparently had a falling out, and it doesn’t seem the relationship will be fixed anytime soon.

“I tried to contact bro, well I did,” YoungBoy said. “N-gga forgave me at a show, and then I seen he had took another route, so now I don’t fuck with that n-gga.”

A fan told YoungBoy that he ran into Trippie at an event and told him: “Yo Trippie, fuck with YoungBoy y’all need to get back on that music shit, for real.” However, Trippie only laughed at the comment and continued on his way.

YB replied: “That’s how a lot of n-ggas be though, man. N-gga never in his life had a problem with me, but it seems like nobody like me.”

There’s no clear reason why the former friends are having issues at the moment. In 2019, Trippie spoke highly of YoungBoy by comparing him to the late legend 2Pac during an Instagram Live stream.

So far, NBA YoungBoy and Trippie Redd have collaborated on several songs, including “Move Move,” “Elevate & Motivate,” “Murda” and most recently “Hate Me,” to name a few.

While assessing his nonexistent friendship with Trippie, YoungBoy found time to drop a new project right before the end of the year in the form of Lost Files. The album features some of the rapper’s best songs and various unreleased tracks.

Trippie Redd, on the other hand, will be hitting the road as a special guest on Future’s upcoming One Big Party Tour. Trippie, along with Kodak Black, Polo G, EST Gee, Doe Boy, Real Boston Richey and more will join Future on the six-date U.S. trek.

The arena tour kicks off in Houston on January 7, before making its way through Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Future and co. will close things out in Boston on January 27.
