Ghanaian musician, Peter Kwesi Fameye aka Fameye, the ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker made a shocking revelation when he passed by Adom FM‘s studio for the popular Work and Happiness show on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Speaking on the show, the musician said his parents died when he was only one and never set eyes on them.

He told host ‘Black I’ that he was nurtured by his grandmother and life wasn’t too easy for him growing up.

The death of his parents, he said, motivated him enough to compose songs because he knew “they were watching.”

He said one musician who inspired his music career was King Ayisoba.

“I have never seen my parents. I was one-year-old when they passed away so my grandmother brought me up. My parents inspire me a lot. I loved King Ayisoba’s style, I followed him too and he motivated me. I am not married but I would when the time is right,” he said in Twi.

After attaining the limelight and going viral after he posted an acoustic version of his song prior to the mastered version on social media, Fameye said he never knew he’d attain his current height.

“I never thought I would blow. I only wanted my fans to know I am around with the video I posted on social media. I wanted to be relevant. I wanted to push myself to the top but I never knew it would project me like this,” he said.
