Meet 22-year-old Ken Kojo Adams who makes sculptures out of wood wastes

Wood waste in itself is not organically recyclable but Ken Kojo Adams, a student of Takoradi Technical University, a self-taught painter and a sculptor by profession has taken upon himself to make good use of wood wastes in the country.

Wood waste from sculpture making has always been a problem at the Takoradi Technical University and other Technical universities in the country. Ken Kojo Adams narrated in an interview to kobbygossips.com.

This wood waste out of wood carvings has always been a problem at my sculptural department and other sculptural studios and i have been thinking of getting a solution to make good use of it until this idea came up after my several ideas. This was a problem because the wood wastes if not burnt litters the department.

The young man realised the wood waste was only used as a material to set fire or just burnt to ashes. So Ken did a thorough research and realised something good can be made out of the wood waste.

Below are pictures of sculptures made by him. It seems like a dream becoming reality. Ken calls on the government to support him through any means so that he can produce more of these to help support “the clean Ghana agenda.”
