Meek Mill Pays Tribute To PnB Rock During Homecoming Concert
Meek Mill paid tribute to the late PnB Rock during a recent homecoming concert at Bowie State University.
Footage of Meek’s performance showed him taking a few moments on stage to speak about the “Fleek” rapper, who was shot and killed in Los Angeles last month.
“Hold up, this is where I want to represent for my fucking dawg,” the Dream Chasers boss told the crowd. “Rest in peace to fucking PnB Rock, I don’t even want to talk about that shit.
He added: “The last time I performed at a college, it was in the DMV with PnB Rock. Rest in peace to my muthafucking brother.”
Meek then dove into “Dangerous,” his 2018 Championships collaboration with PnB and Jeremih, with the crowd emphatically reciting the song’s hook.

Meek Mill was one of the first artists to pay tribute to PnB Rock when news of his tragic death — and a disturbing video of him laying on the ground in a pool of his own blood — began circulating.
“Rip dawg you didn’t deserve that,” he tweeted at the time. “Every time I see one of my friends bleed out on camera or killed on camera, I feel a sick feeling I can’t even really explain… it puts me more and more back in survival mentality.”
Meek also mourned Rock’s passing on Instagram, posting a photo of the two of them hanging out soundtracked by Rock’s “Too Many Years” collaboration with Kodak Black. “Shit burnnnneedd my soul bad today,” he wrote in the caption.

PnB Rock was fatally shot during a robbery at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles on September 12. The 30-year-old was at the restaurant with his girlfriend when at least one armed suspect approached the couple and demanded jewelry before shooting the rapper multiple times.
Three suspects have been arrested, including a 17-year-old who allegedly pulled the trigger and his 40-year-old father, who is believed to have been the getaway driver. The teen’s 38-year-old stepmother is also in custody and is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
PnB Rock was laid to rest during a Muslim funeral service in his hometown of Philadelphia on September 21. The service sheet read: “In Loving Memory of Rakim Allen, December 9, 1991 – September 12, 2022” and included a copy of the Janazah prayer.
