PHILADELPHIA, PA – Meek Mill and his Dreamchasers Foundation are making sure families in his hometown of Philly don’t go without for Christmas.
The rapper and criminal justice reform advocate began delivering gifts around Philly ahead of Christmas, donating $30,000 to the volunteer group Twelve Days of Christmas to buy gifts for 30 families in North Philly.
“It’s been a tough year for all of us, but through all the ups and downs, I’ll always do my part to support and give back to the Philly community that raised me,” Meek told TMZ of the gesture.
He even went a step further, speaking with one family who was overwhelmed with emotion.
Meek surprised the kids with an XBox Series X, Puma clothes, iPads and more. It was a kind move in the eyes of Anthony Morse, the kids’ father who also fosters five children in addition to raising his own. Meek took time to personally FaceTime Morse and the family to encourage them for the holidays.
“Thank you so much for blessing my babies man,” Morse, who was in near tears, told the rapper.
Meek responded, “I appreciate that, man. That’s what I’m here for. Here to help out.”
