A 31-year-old man in New Jersey named Jeremy Arrington was recently sentenced to 375 years in prison for murdering two children and a college student in 2016 after becoming upset over a Facebook post. The post was a police alert that was reposted, naming him as a suspect in a shooting and sexual assault incident.
Arrington was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences after he killed 7-year-old Ariel Whitehurst, 11-year-old Al-Jahon Whitehurst, and a 23-year-old friend of the family named Syasia McBurroughs, who was visiting the family home in Newark around November 2016. Last month, the man was convicted on 28 charges related to the home invasion, where he reportedly tortured six people.
Additional consecutive 50-year sentences were tacked on to Arrington’s time due to the three attempted murder convictions for the victims who survived. It was noted the man would have to serve 281 years of his 375-year sentence to be eligible for parole. Take a look above.
