Mahama gifts ‘hardworking Tamale NDC flag-boy’ brand new motorbike
Former President John Dramani Mahama has donated a brand new motorbike to National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag boy, Abdul Jabar in Tamale, MyNewsGh.com reports.
The staunch NDC member in the Northern Region over the years has been riding his bike with NDC flags mounted on long poles around tamale and to almost all NDC national and regional events to the admiration of the former President.
During his recent trip to the Northern Region, Mr. Mahama was wowed by his sacrifice for the party and shocked him with a motorbike which was donated early this week on his behalf of the former President by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini indicating that it was a source of motivation.
Meanwhile, the former President has revealed that only a stronger and a united National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2020 polls.
He has therefore charged branch executives who he described as the strength of the party to redouble their efforts in reorganization to ensure this does not become a mirage.
Speaking to party supporters in the Northern Region, Mr Mahama said the defeat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 polls was orchestrated by God in order for Ghanaians to appreciate the achievements of the party chalked under his watch.
“Sometimes you may yearn for something and God will deny you. God is the only person who can explain why you are being denied. In 2016 we wanted power but God denied us because if we had been given Ghanaians would not have appreciated our achievements”, he said in Dagbanli.
Continuing he said, “If we had won 2016, many would have complained that if Akufo-Addo had won, they would have been a drastic reduction in fuel prices among others but today Ghanaians are witnesses to the hardship and suffering many are undergoing under the administration.”
