Lord Kenya owes Slip Music a lot of gratitude – Okraku Mantey
Chief Executive Officer of Slip Entertainment, Mark Okraku Mantey has asked rapper-turned-Pastor, Lord Kenya to stop making it look like he [Lord Kenya] left Slip Entertainment before hitting the limelight in the music industry.
The producer who managed Lord Kenya for about three years, disclosed that he invested a lot of efforts into the success of Lord Kenya but the artiste has failed to show gratitude to Slip Entertainment whenever he gets the platform to do so.
“Every time, he makes it look like Slip did not do enough for him but he [Lord Kenya] worked hard on his own, he should stop that,” he said.
Speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM, the producer added that Lord Kenya struggles to give credit to people who have played various roles in his music career.
“He struggles to give credit to people like the Castro guy, who used to write for him. You never hear him [Lord Kenya] mention him [Castro],” Okraku Mantey said.
Mr Okraku Mantey who is also the Director of the Creative Arts Council noted that even though Lord Kenya has apologised to him, he thinks Slip Entertainment deserves some appreciation since God has asked us to appreciate him.
“He [Lord Kenya] apologised to me on Peace FM some years ago but …the most high God has asked us to appreciate him. So if we must appreciate God for what he has done for us…so you treat your follow human beings like the way you want to be treated,” he stated.
