Lil Nas X Meets Nardwuar For An Awkward Interview At Rolling Loud

Lil Nas X gets gifted tons of country memorabilia and speaks on “Old Town Road.”

Nardwuar is one of the most legendary interviewers of all time at this point. He pulls insane amounts of research and many people really don’t even know how he does it. Somehow, Nardwuar manages to find the most obscure information about artists, including their favourite childhood restaurants, their long-lost teenage photos, and more. Lil Nas X burst onto the scene a few weeks ago so Nardwuar didn’t have much to work with. He still managed to find some novelty products to blow the artist’s mind though.

Hitting up Rolling Loud this weekend, Nardwuar booked some time to catch up with some of his favourite artists. He spoke to Young Thug while he planned to take the stage with Travis Scott, got Lil Uzi Vert to run away from him once again and, now, he’s sharing his experience with Lil Nas X. The “Old Town Road” hitmaker was asked about his father’s gospel album, rocking big earrings in high school, and April’s Place, which according to LNX has the “most bomb food ever.”

This is probably the most awkward interview that Nardwuar has posted from this weekend, only because there’s not as much action as with his Thugger and Uzi spots. With Thug, there was the attached thrill of him fielding phone calls and walking towards the main stage. With Uzi, there was the fun of the chase.
