Lil Durk Hints At Doja Cat Collaboration After She Makes Retirement Announcement
New detail of Doja Cat’s upcoming album has apparently been revealed. While the Grammy Award-winning artist has been teasing about her new music, it’s Lil Durk who spilled the beans that he will be featured on her set.
Durkio hinted that his collaboration with the “Say So” songstress via his Instagram Story. On Monday, April 10, he posted an audio file while tagging Doja in the caption which simply read, “rap album.”
His Story arrives after Doja declared that she won’t make pop music anymore. “no more pop…,” she tweeted over the weekend. “i also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasnt trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that i can’t so I will.”
One of her fans then replied, “i hope these comments are not the only thing that pushed you to go full rap…if doing pop and rap is what you like you shouldn’t stop simply because of them.” In response, the rapper/singer penned, “pop isnt exciting to me anymore. I dont wanna make it.”
On Sunday, she returned to the blue-bird app to assert, “The whole album is no longer rap y’all.” She added, “It’s rock/spoken work and the album title is not ‘Hellmouth’ anymore.”
She said in a separate tweet that the project is being rebranded as “Moist Holes,” which is a “French conceptual experimental country/bohemian fusion with the essence of blue-grass” effort. She also boasted that her work-in-progress has “100” guest features.
Seemingly trolling her fans, she later walked back and forth on the genre of her new album. When one fan wrote, “as long as it’s not a country album,” the 27-year-old replied, “and THAT it is.. :p.” She later wrote, “the whole albums gonna be pop,” before claiming, “the whole albums gonna be classical.”
Doja later shocked her fans by making a retirement announcement. “I quit music,” she penned, before changing her mind as saying, “jk im not. Relax.”

“Jk I quit,” she tweeted again a few moments later, explaining, “I’m done with this music s**t it’s only making me sadder every day. I can’t take it anymore.” Regardless if she really quit making music or not, Doja assured her fans, “jp ima finish this album yall dont worry.”
