LIL DURK HELPS HOMELESS FAN GET BACK ON HIS FEET AFTER VIRAL ‘ALL MY LIFE’ MOMENT

Lil Durk’s music may be riddled with its fair share of tough talk, but the Chicago rap star has also shown his kinder side over the years — and that was on full display this week when he came to the aid of a homeless fan.

On Wednesday (May 31), Durk livestreamed himself on Instagram paying a visit to a homeless man in Los Angeles who went viral on TikTok last month for playing Durk’s “All My Life” video with J. Cole on a projector screen inside a sidewalk tent.

The OTF hitmaker was clearly touched by the clip and went out of his way to track down the fan to bless him with a series of generous gifts — but they were more than just material possessions.

Looking to help him out of his dire situation and make a lasting impact on his life, Lil Durk rewarded the man with a hotel room for 30 days along with a mobile phone, gift cards and an unspecified amount of cash.

“I want to do something real special. I got kindness in my heart, right?” Smurk said during his Instagram Live broadcast while driving around L.A. “So the homeless guy that was playing ‘All My Life’ in the tent, I found him and I’ma pull up on him.

“I got him a hotel room for him. You never know what people are going through. I’m finna walk up to him, let’s get it.”

Durk then stepped out of his car and greeted the fan before telling him: “You know you were playing the video on the screen, ‘All My Life.’ You know that’s me featuring J. Cole? So look, I got you a room for 30 days, I’ma give you a couple dollars, I’ma give you gift cards and I’ma give you phone for showing support.”

“Thank you… Thank you so much,” the fan replied. “‘Preciate you.”

After checking if he was comfortable being “seen,” the Chi-Town native panned the camera around to show him to his IG Live viewers and asked for his name. “Pedro,” the man replied.

“Pedro, I appreciate you so much, deeply, from the bottom of my heart, to come do this for you,” Durk added, to which Pedro replied: “I appreciate it, I love it. That’s actually helpful a lot.”

The pair then exchanged more pleasantries and said their goodbyes before parting ways.

This is far from Lil Durk’s first good deed of late. In April, the 30-year-old partnered with Amazon Music to launch the Durk Banks Endowment Fund to help two lucky students attend Howard University in Washington, D.C.

The two students were each given a $50,000 scholarship to the prestigious HBCU and were selected from 20 participants in Durk’s Neighborhood Heroes HBCU College & Career Readiness Cohort Program.

The Almost Healed rapper also announced he’d be donating $250,000 to Howard’s GRACE Grant, a program created to help students in need of tuition assistance.

Beyond the world of higher education, Durk — who calls himself The Voice — also dedicates plenty of time and resources to uplifting underserved youth in his native Chicago through his non-profit, the Neighborhood Heroes Foundation.
