Ladies of London star Marissa Hermer is divorcing husband Matt after 14 years of marriage.
The former Bravo star, 42, filed for divorce from Matt, 53, in the San Bernardino County’s Superior Court on Wednesday, June 5, according to court documents, PEOPLE confirms. The filing was listed as legal separation with minor children.
The former couple share three children: Max, 12, Jake, 10, and Sadie, 8.
Marissa and Matt shared a statement with PEOPLE announcing their split on Tuesday, June 11. “Together, through tremendous soul searching, we have evolved our relationship to a place that gives us space to raise our family, support each other, and grow our businesses.”
Marissa also published a statement on her Instagram profile on Monday, June 10.
Their statement continued: “While our marriage was a success, it is now complete, and we’ve made the decision to separate. The love we share for our family and mutual respect for each other will continue to grow into our next chapter as we are committed to being parents, best friends and business partners.”
Us Weekly reported that a source said the couple “separated early this year.”
“They have been having issues for the last year,” per the outlet. “They grew apart in their marriage but are still best friends and are amazing at coparenting together.”
The couple met in New York in 2008, when Marissa worked in luxury fashion and restaurants while Matt was a nightclub owner. After she and the England native moved back to London, they married in 2010 and later welcomed their three children.
The pair also shared with PEOPLE that they plan to continue collaborating and working together to open their new restaurants. They will be opening Lalou in West Hollywood this summer, with Bar Issi in partnership with The Thompson Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., opening in November.
“Matt and I look forward to welcoming our friends near and far to both Lalou and Bar Issi soon,” Marissa told PEOPLE.
The pair also own L.A. restaurants The Draycott, Olivetta and Issima.
