Veteran radio presenter Kwame Sefa Kayi has blasted Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale for disrupting the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 which was supposed to mark the 20th anniversary of the awards.

According to the broadcaster, he won’t blame the security at the stage for not preventing Shatta Wale from mounting the stage which eventually led to the disruption at the event.

Narrating what happened, he said from the backstage after Stonebwoy was called on stage for his awards by Abeiku Santana and it was that moment that he saw Shatta Wale coming forward with his followers numbering about 20.

He went on to say that, little could be done by the security team present when they came to the stage which eventually led to the free-to-all fight and the police had to result to using pepper spray and tear-gas to wade people off.

In an interview with Captain Smart on Adom FM this morning, he stated that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale had disgraced the country and he was happy the two have been arrested by the police and hope they are sanctioned appropriately.

Going forward, he stated that he wish organizers of the show would now put in place scanners to scan people before they are allowed into the auditorium next time saying that what if after Stonebwoy pulling the gun on stage, a Shatta Wale member also decides to also pull out a gun that would have led to a more serious problem.
