Kimora Lee Simmons’ Daughter Ming Celebrates Mom’s Milestone 50th Birthday with Nostalgic Childhood Video

Kimora Lee Simmons is celebrating a milestone birthday — with a little love from her daughters!

The model and entrepreneur turned 50 on Sunday, May 3, and her daughter Ming Lee Simmons marked the occasion by sharing a nostalgic video from when she was a little girl. In the clip, which she posted on Instagram, Kimora can be seen picking up her daughter and breaking into a smile as Ming leaned in for a sweet hug while camera lights flashed around the duo.

The now-25-year-old wrote in the caption of the post: “Wishing a very special birthday to a very special mommy ❤︎✨.”

In the comments, Kimora replied, “Thank you! I love you so much! 💕 ❤️.”

Kimora’s daughter Aoki Lee Simmons also took a moment to send some birthday wishes. The 22-year-old reshared a clip on Instagram Stories of her mother walking down a runway while holding her then-toddler-aged daughters’ hands and wrote: “Happy Birthday! I love you so much, Mommy!”

Alongside Ming and Aoki, whom she shares with ex Russell Simmons, Kimora is also a mom to son Kenzo with ex Djimon Hounsou and son Wolfe with Tim Leissner, plus son Gary, whom she welcomed by adoption when he was 10 years old.

Russell, 67, shared a birthday tribute for Kimora on Sunday, posting a slideshow of family photos from over the years.

In a lengthy caption, he shared his hopes for Kimora’s future. “kimoraleesimmons I hope you see this Let me share a prayer on your 50 birthday Im praying for your peace and happiness, also for the resolution of all outstanding sources of pain and conflict I am a believer that hate hurts the hate,” he wrote in part.

“I will love u until death for all you have given me Keep being the great example of motherhood that you always have been,” he added, before joking about how “50 never looked so good.”

“God blessed u with longevity (asian and black genes🤩 ) and the ability to continue to evolve ❤️,” Russell wrote.

Recently speaking with PEOPLE for the World’s Most Beautiful issue, Kimora opened up about her life as a mom, and her love of fashion — which has been passed down to her daughters.

She also said that Ming has gifted her with the inspiration to live life to the fullest, explaining, “I feel like Mingy is very much at the age where she’s like a young lady.”

“She’s very much a social butterfly. She just went to Coachella,” continued the proud mom. “I see all these moments with her and her friends that to me are really fun.”

Added Kimora: “I never really got to live all that fun and do all those things. I was probably, I don’t know, working too young, and I don’t think I got to live it up like that.”
