Kevin Bacon made the world premiere of MaXXXine a family fun night!
The actor, 65, was joined by his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, and their son Travis, 35, and daughter Sosie, 32, at the red carpet event held at California’s TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday, June 24.
The horror film is the third and seemingly final installment in writer-director Ti West’s X franchise, following 2022’s well-received X and Pearl. Bacon stars alongside Mia Goth, The Crown alum Elizabeth Debicki, The Idol star Moses Sumney, Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito, Halsey, and Lily Collins.
Bacon attended the film’s premiere dressed in a pale orange suit on top of a beige collared shirt and oversized sunglasses. His wife of over three decades wore a black leather mini dress with black sheer tights.
Travis matched his mom, wearing an all-black look, while Sosie opted for a printed oversized tee with black cowboy boots.
According to an official logline, MaXXXine is set in the 1980s and follows a slightly older Maxine (Goth) as she tries to make it as an actress in the City of Angels, with a fair share of blood along the way.
“It’s the best script of the three by far. It’s going be the best movie of the three,” Goth told Variety of the upcoming film. “It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes and Maxine has gone through so much at this point. So when we find her in this new world, she’s just a force to be reckoned with and she goes through some pretty wild adventures.”
It’s no surprise that Bacon’s family helped celebrate the film’s premiere.
While catching up with PEOPLE earlier this month, Sedgwick, 58, told PEOPLE that she “for sure” sees a piece of herself and her husband in Travis.
“Oh my God, that’s a good question. For sure. I mean, I think he’s hungry and striving, and I think we were hungry and striving around that time,” said Sedgwick.
