KENDRICK LAMAR & BABY KEEM ‘F-CK UP THE WORLD’ IN NEW ‘HILLBILLIES’ VIDEO

Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem have linked up for a bouncy new song called “The Hillbillies,” and its accompanying video even features a cameo from Tyler, The Creator — check it out below.

In the grainy visual for the EVILGIANE-produced track, K. Dot and Keem are seen meandering around hotel lobbies, private jets, festival grounds, shopping malls, baseball fields and city streets as they trade soccer-inspired bars and travel the world.

“We gon’ fuck up the world, excuse me, but is that your girl?/ Didn’t mean to possess your girl/ Baby, I’m high profile, don’t ever tell ’em you met me, girl/ They gon’ think that you rep me, girl/ 5′ 7″, I’m Messi, girl/ I’ma pass you to Neymar, he got time for your bestie, girl,” Kendrick raps, referencing the Paris Saint-Germain stars.

Tyler, The Creator then stops by around the 2:30 mark, where he’s seen sitting on the front bumper of a vintage car outside of the Dodger Stadium while sharing a laugh with Kendrick and Keem.

Tyler also flexes some of his custom jewelry and flashes a badge to the camera that reads: “Camp Flog Gnaw 2023,” confirming the return of his L.A. festival after a four-year absence.

“The Hillbillies” is the first joint offering from Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem since last year’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which featured several appearances from the Compton rapper’s younger cousin and labelmate.

Before that, the pgLang pair scored a top 20 Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2021 with “family ties.” The single also won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance the following year.

The double-sided track landed on Keem’s debut album The Melodic Blue, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 wit over 50,000 first-week sales following its release in September 2021. It was later certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

As for Kendrick’s most recent full-length release, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers recently gained another impressive accolade after remaining on the Billboard 200 for one whole year.

The album — Kendrick’s final release on TDE — debuted at No. 1 on the chart with 295,000 album-equivalent units in its first week back in May 2022.

Although it has yet to receive a plaque from the RIAA, Chart Data reported last October that it surpassed one million units in the U.S., making it eligible for platinum certification.
