Jonathan Majors Steps Out With Meagan Good for First Major Red Carpet Since April Sentencing
Good began publicly dating Majors during his domestic abuse trial
Jonathan Majors and his girlfriend Meagan Good have attended their first major red carpet event together since his April sentencing.
The former Marvel star, 34, and the Harlem actress, 42, were photographed together at the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards at Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles on Monday, June 3.
The pair were first romantically linked in May 2023 and made their red carpet debut on March 3 at the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles. They also walked the red carpet together at the NAACP Image Awards on March 17.
Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment in his December 2023 trial for a domestic incident involving his former girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He was found not guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree.
Following a series of highly publicized court hearings, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor was sentenced to one year of an “in person batterers” intervention program in Los Angeles on April 8, 2024.
The alleged domestic incident took place in New York City in March 2023.
At the time, an NYPD spokesperson told PEOPLE, “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
Majors has maintained his innocence for over a year despite and was charged with three counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree, after he was arrested for an alleged domestic dispute.
His attorney Priya Chaudhry previously told PEOPLE that her client was “completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.”
In the months that followed, Majors lost multiple deals — including the U.S. Army pausing advertising that featured him; his public relations firm, The Lede Company, parted ways with him; and Marvel Studios discontinued working with the actor.
Majors, whose most recent role at the time was portraying Kang the Conqueror, was also set to star in various other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, including a fifth Avengers movie.
