Depp had previously been axed from the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film series
Johnny Depp has lived through an eventful 2022, with his court defamation trail against Amber Heard ending in victory for him and his legal team.
Aside from being awarded a sizable cash settlement, the actor has now been able to continue his career.
Advertising companies have welcomed him in again, and he has already been featured on our screens in a Paco Rabanne advert, while there have been calls for him to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
Johnny Depp was axed from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’
Arguably Depp‘s most popular role was that of Captain Jack Sparrow in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film series.
He was in line to film yet another sequel when he was dropped due to the complaints made by his former partner against him.
Even though he restored his reputation, it’s unlikely he’ll star in that franchise again.
Jack Sparrow returns for one day
Despite having shown next to no interest in reprising the role in a professional capacity, Depp has been seen in public acting in his Jack Sparrow persona in an attempt to deliver a magical experience to a fan with special needs.

In a video posted to Twitter, Depp was seen conversing as Jack Sparrow with a fan in a wheelchair.
Fans were left in awe of the generosity of the moment, praising the actor on social media for his effort to please a fan with difficulties.
