Jennifer Lopez is getting to her happy place.
The 55-year-old is teaming up with Bridgerton co-executive producer Leila Cohan to adapt the bestselling Emily Henry novel Happy Place into a Netflix series.
Cohan, who worked on season 1 of Shonda Rhimes’ Regency-era romance, will co-write and showrun the project, which remains in development, Deadline reports.
J.Lo shared the news on Instagram, soundtracking the post with Taylor Swift’s “…Ready For It?”
Henry’s novel Happy Place was released in April 2023 and became an instant bestseller.
The book follows a group of friends returning to their favorite vacation spot for the last time while the couple in the group fights to keep the secret that they have broken up.
The romance author previously shared the news of Lopez’s involvement in the adaptation in June, writing at the time, “To further clarify, no one has been cast yet. When they are, they will be actors in their late 20s to early 30s.”
The longtime rom-com staple recently revealed her love for all things Bridgerton when she threw her 55th birthday bash with the racy show as the theme.
The party featured a string quartet, a Regency-era dance floor, four-tier cake and even a gilded throne for the birthday girl. The Wedding Planner star sported an embroidered ballgown complete with a corset, later changing into a mint green dress with a train.
