JANELLE MONÁE PAYS HOMAGE TO JIMI HENDRIX WHILE ANNOUNCING AGE OF PLEASURE TOUR

Janelle Monáe seems to be fully immersed in their sexual liberation – and in the same vein of their album – and has offered fans some very tantalizing promo for their upcoming tour.

On Wednesday (May 31), the Glass Onion star took to Instagram to announce their Age of Pleasure Tour, which is set to kick off this fall. While posting the dates for their upcoming trek, Monáe left little to the imagination, only rocking a pair of shorts with their favorite new accessory: their breasts.

They then turned it up a notch by posing with their hands in their shorts. The move seems to reference Jimi Hendrix, who appears on another slide in the post, where the late rock pioneer is spotted with his hands down his pants.

She also included a photo of Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk in a similar pose.

Monáe’s Age Of Pleasure tour kicks off August 30 in Seattle, Washington at WAMU Theater. The North American tour is set to make pitstops in big cities like Portland, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Brooklyn, and more.

There will be a Verizon presale on Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m. local time, whereas general admission sales start Wednesday, June 7 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

The “Tightrope” singer remains unbothered by criticism of the NSFW promotional campaign for their upcoming album, rather enjoying showing off their breasts. “I’m much happier when my titties are out and I can run around free,” Monáe told RS.

Also, the Glass Onion star talked about how the pandemic inspired them to write new music, noting how they were heavily influenced by the many fun dance parties where music ranged from Afropop to Hip Hop.
