JADAKISS SHUTS DOWN OPPONENT WITH VACATION BASKETBALL TRICK SHOT: ‘GET MY BAG!

Jadakiss keeps his game face on even when he’s in vacation mode, and recently showed one basketball opponent that he can get busy even when he has no shoes on.

The legendary LOX rapper is currently on an island vacation to celebrate his 48th birthday. On Monday (May 29), he reposted a video that looked like he walked straight off the beach on to a court when he nailed a trick shot while hardly even blinking.

“Get my bag! Get. My. Bag! Yeah!” he yells in the clip as he walks off in victory after sinking the his off-the-wall trick shot.

Hooping while barefoot is not the easiest to do, but it beats the time Kiss mistakenly played ball in a pair of Off-White x Air Force 1 Low ’07 ‘MoMA’ – unknowingly beating up the Virgil Abloh-designed sneakers to the point they lost a ton of value.

“At my twins’ third or fourth birthday party I didn’t know what it was because he didn’t tell me,” Jada said in disgust on a ComplexCon panel in November. “I choked them shits full court basketball in em. And then when I finished with em, one of my young re-sellers came up to me, ‘What did you do?’

“He showed me [the price], I wanted to cry. I was going hard too… I obliterated them, dog — obliterated them, Clark.”

Jadakiss’ basketball roots run deep, and back in the early 2000s, he and Allen Iverson were heavily instrumental in fostering the NBA’s apparent relationship with the Hip Hop community through a pair of Reebok commercials.

During a 2020 interview with HipHopDX, the Yonkers native explained, if anything, their pairing was organic.

“Shout out to my man [Steve Stoute],” Jada recalled. “He came to me like, ‘Yo, I got this commercial for you to do with Allen Iverson.’ A.I. was on fire … I was on fire fire, it made sense. I loved basketball … he loved rap, it was only right.”

Kiss also denied ghostwriting The Answer’s bars for the A6 commercial but did offer his take on which NBA ballers actually had credibility on the mic.

“I think Shaq broke the barrier of what a basketball player could do commercially with sales and where he took it to,” he explained. “I think Damian Lillard is the best lyricist to be in the NBA or play basketball.”
