JADAKISS JOINS ROBIN THICKE ON UNEARTHED ‘WHEN I GET YOU ALONE’ REMIX FROM 2002

Jadakiss had collaborated with Robin Thicke on a single all the way back in 2002 — but it took more than two decades for the results to be released.

Taking to his Instagram on Thursday (May 18), the crooner uploaded the remix of his debut single, which was originally released in 2002 under the name “Thicke.” “When I Get You Alone” was supposed to appear on Thicke’s debut album, Cherry Blue Skies.

Ultimately, though, Cherry Blue Skies was renamed to A Beautiful World, and that’s where the hit — which didn’t make much of an impact in the United States but charted in places like Italy and Australia — ultimately appeared.

“Made this remix of When I Get You Alone with @jadakiss years ago and it’s finally out,” he wrote in the caption. “It’s the 2nd unreleased track from A Beautiful World and we got another one coming tomorrow”

Throughout the years, Jadakiss has collaborated — and beefed — with many artists. But not too long ago, the New York native and Freeway squashed their long-standing beef that began all the way back in the early 2000s.

Taking to Instagram on April 27, the “Take It to the Top” rapper posted a photo with the “Money, Power, Respect” rapper standing outside of a building in Yonkers, Westchester County, NY.

“Out Yonkers with my bro,” Freeway wrote in the caption.

In the next slide, Freeway and Jadakiss had a message for the young rappers of today who put the focus on “beef” more than on artistry.

“I’m in Yonkers with my brother, Jadakiss,” he began. “And this is a lesson for all y’all younguns. Y’all got beef, and y’all think you can’t squash it. And y’all think it’s impossible to squash it. Me and this man had beef at one time. And this is my brother now.”

“We here now, you know what I mean?” interjected Jadakiss. squashed their long-standing beef that traced back all the way to the early 2000s.

Jadakiss and Freeway first squashed their beef all the way back in 2021.

The Roc-A-Fella and D-Block beef of the early 2000s nearly turned violent outside of the exchange of scathing diss tracks, but luckily, cooler heads ended up prevailing on both sides.

Two decades later, Jadakiss and Freeway are closer than ever and even consider each other “brothers.”
