I’ve never beaten Shatta Michy, I used to love her – Shatta Wale

Spread the love

Shatta Wale has dropped the biggest hint that he is finally done with his baby mama, Shatta Michy and there is no hope of them coming back together again as a couple.

The controversial artiste says he does not see a future with the woman with whom he has a son, Majesty.

On October 14, 2018, Shatta Wale, during his ‘Reign’ album launch at the Fantasy Dome in Accra pulled off one of the biggest surprises of his life, when he went down his knees to propose to his longtime girlfriend Shatta Michy.

“Shatta Michy,” he called her name after they performed their joint song, ‘Low Tempo’ together, went down on one knee, proposed to her, and stood up to put a ring on his baby mama’s finger.

After the proposal, there were reports that there was an altercation between them forcing Shatta Michy to pack out of their home.

Shortly after leaving their home, she dropped Shatta from her name – now going by the name Michygh –, and posted on her Instastrory “… no one wants to be in an abusive, draining relationship”.

In another post she added that “ you have no idea how it’s like dealing with someone who’s always looking for faults on you, they don’t trust cuz they can’t be trusted, insecure, the ego, false accusations, battery, threats, no compassion as I don’t show him all the compassion.”

After grabbing the headlines with that act, the ‘My Level’ hitmaker has disclosed that their love relationship has come to an end.

Disclosing details of their relationship in an interview on Showbiz A-Z on Joy FM with George Quaye, Shatta Wale explained that “You see sometimes we give certain people the chance in the industry and they become stars.”

“My relationship with Shatta Michy was looking so nice in everybody’s eyes but sometimes people should also watch me from afar and see if I’m going down or I’m moving up with this Shatta Michy issue,” he said.

The dancehall act said, “I don’t want to say it on radio because it will look bad but I don’t like females who listen to their friends when they have to listen to their man.”

“…because there are some intelligent women when they see their man like me working hard and moving forward in life they wouldn’t listen to no friend,” he noted.

“You see…it’s her birthday today and she is having a party in a club, a woman I wanted to put in the corporate world…,” he added.
False assault claims

According to him, people comment on Shatta Michy’s page and she tells “people if they want to see her obituary. I’ve never beaten her before, I swear my career but she tells people stuff.”

“I don’t want to say the reason why I am no more with her…it’s her birthday and she is having it in a club I don’t think Nana Aba Anamoah will have her birthday in a club maybe once upon a time she will do it. But you see the kind of level and the kind of place I wanted her to step to, she is not seeing that picture [and] she feels it’s about competition…,” he explained.

“For five months now I have not seen my son because she doesn’t want me to see him. Rev Obofour is my witness. She left home without me sacking her from the house but she is telling people I beat her…,” Shatta Wale alleged.

He disclosed that their son was sacked from school because Shatta Michy took him to Kumasi for a month.

In spite of what has transpired between them, the dancehall artiste admitted that “Shatta Michy has been so loving to me” and bragged that he bought “her four cars. She was living in a mansion with a pool” and he feels bad that the house is so empty.

Asked if he still loves her, Shatta Wale swiftly responded that he “used to love” her but stressed that he does not think he will like to fix their relationship again.

“The way people look at me on the internet, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter that is not how I am in my home,” he revealed.

He swore that “I can’t fight a woman” and that even at home he is a woman. “I’m called Obaa Yaa.”
