Versatile actress Gloria Osei Sarfo popularly known as ‘Nana Ama’ has advised Ghanaian women especially those in the Creative Arts industry not to be lazy this year but work harder and make moves to push them further in the industry and put them on a higher ladder like their male colleagues.
Speaking to celebrity Journalist Attractive Mustapha monitored by Ghanacreativearts.com after a programme organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts under the theme Digitization, Monetization & marketing creatives online at the Accra Tourism Information Centre on 5th February, 2019, Gloria Osei Sarfo said she agreed with the sector Minister Hon Catherine Agblema Afeku 100% who had earlier mentioned in her speech that most women lack confidence to nurse their talents to the top because of factors such as general discrimination against women among others.
According to her, anytime a woman rises to the top it becomes something strange because it is not easy considering the gap between women and men in the industry.
“I am thinking we are in 2019, we the women should not allow men to override us.
“We are in 2019 and this time around I think we women should not sit back we shouldn’t be lazy we should get up and do something”.
We shouldn’t think for the public that, we won’t receive the necessary support when we make the move.”
