Celebrity ‘beefs’ are not new in showbiz but actress, Gloria Osei Sarfo isn’t here for that, in fact she has no time for them at all.
In what may be disappointing news for those who were taking seats to witness a fight between the Efiewura actress and Kumawood actress, Xandy Kamel, Gloria says she is calling a ceasefire.
Gloria Osei Sarfo and Xandy Kamel had some exchanges on Instagram after the latter removed her underwear on live television during an interview.
Disappointed by Xandy’s behaviour, she expressed her opinion on the matter to which a follower responded that she should not be quick to judge without full insight into what really happened.
She responded that she didn’t need to watch the full interview to condemn the distasteful act saying acts like this tarnishes the reputation of the industry.
“My friend, all of this nonsense must stop. They go a long way to tarnish the reputation of our industry so I will not keep quiet. Besides, did I say anything wrong? All I said was ‘I rest my case’ and oh for the records, no need to watch the full interview cos nothing I repeat, absolutely nothing will make me watch that unfortunate interview. Get it straight madam spokesperson,” she responded.
In her defense, Xandy also wrote, “Actresses are being stigmatized by guys all because of roles we play in movies some have even lost their relationships and marriages because people call us names such us prostitutes especially when you play the role of a naughty girl in a movie some ladies don’t even get any approach from guys for anything serious and am being asked to prove to the world that sex in movies aren’t real then you sit in your kiosk and type garbage claiming am tarnishing your industry wait oo did u even think before typing smh just drink water and chill am going to shit and come wai nonsense”
While people are expecting her response, Gloria has told Showbiz she doesn’t see the need to give attention to things that will downgrade their image.
“I think I responded to the issue when it was important and that should end it. I don’t want to give attention to anything that will drag me into unnecessary controversies,” she told Showbiz when she was asked for her opinion on the issue.
Gloria also used the occasion to set the records straight on rumours that she had left Angel TV as host of the discussion segment of Madhubala, an Indian telenovela series.
“I haven’t left, we are on break and will be back soon with better content and packaging,” she stated.
