If musicians can’t carry guns, politicians should also stop carrying guns – Edem

Rapper Edem has opined that if government is preventing musicians from carrying guns for protection then politicians should also stop carrying guns along to everywhere.

This comes after a brawl erupted between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale camps on stage after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’, at the VGMA 2019 on Sunday which caused the former to pull out a gun.

Explaining the rationale behind his comment, the ‘Nyedzilo’ hitmaker told DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa that, Artiste are adult who must protect themselves because they have family and children but if government wants to prevent an artiste from carrying a gun then Ministers must also stop carrying guns.
“I mean you’re an adult and you must protect yourself. You have a family, kids, house and so you must protect yourself and your family once it’s licensed. so I don’t think they should cease an adult’s gun once it’s licensed then if so they should also cease ministers who carry guns too, cos all the ministers, corporate people too carry guns” he added.

However, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have finally agreed to be at peace with each other.

The two had a Peace Conference last Tuesday to officially announce their humble and honest decision to the public.
