I will judge NPP after 4 years – DKB
Comedian Derick Kobinna Bonney (DKB), has said, he will pass a verdict on the performance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration after the four-year term.
Asked to score the Akufo-Addo-led government after two years in power while speaking on the Ayekoo Ayekoo show hosted by Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5FM on Friday, 1 February 2019, DKB said: “Let us wait for the four years.”
He added: “My position is very delicate and so I will wait for the four years. Next year I will decide.”
The NPP took over governance from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo beat the then incumbent John Dramani Mahama.
The NPP gave a litany of things to do in order to take Ghana a step further as far as development is concerned.
These include the Free Senior High School programme, Paperless Port system, One-District-One-Factory, One-Village-One-Dam, restoration of the teacher and nursing trainee allowances and others.
Recently, President Akufo-Addo said his government has fulfilled 41 of its 2016 campaign promises so far.
According to him, Ghanaians will realise he is a man of integrity after he completes his first term in office.
Speaking at a rally at Ayawaso West Wuogon on Tuesday, 29 January 2019 ahead of Thursday’s by-election, Nana Akufo-Addo said: “Forty-one promises made by the NPP and its presidential candidate has been fulfilled and delivered within two years. We are not done and I know that. But after the four years, everybody will see that, yes, Akufo-Addo was a man of his words and a man of truth, a man of honesty and integrity,” Nana Akufo-Addo stated.
