The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako has denied ever hurling insults at former President and 2020 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.
“I’m very humble person. I have not insulted former President Mahama for anything”, the NPP chair refuted allegations made by the opposition party in the region
The NDC Ashanti Regional Chairman, Andrews Nana Akwasi at a press conference recently sent a stern warning to Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako and elements within the NPP against their unguarded utterance and attacks on the person of former President John Mahama.
“The NDC has observed the insults by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako on His Excellency John Dramami Manama. We want to warn him against such uncivilized behavior”, he warned
The soft-spoken Chairman who addressed media men in the Kumasi, therefore, threatened of verbal attacks in equal measure on the President Akufo-Addo and other government appointees should the insults from Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako and his surrogates fail to cease.
“As a party, we are not going to take kindly to any insults from NPP and their Regional Chairman”, Mr. Andrews Nana Akwasi threatened.
However speaking to the warning on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako explained “I’m working for my party and by that, I will not stop setting the records straight”.
