I have never heard Beyoncé’s song before – Guru reveals

Ghanaian rapper Guru has disclosed that he has never heard any of the songs of renowned and celebrated American singer and songwriter Beyonce.

Social media have been buzzing after Shatta Wale earned a feature with Beyonce on her upcoming album dubbed ‘The Lion King: The Gift’.

The self-proclaimed dancehall king was eulogized by Ghanaians and some colleague artistes for his collaboration.

However, Guru incurred the wrath of social media users after he claimed he has never heard any of Beyonce’s songs.

According to the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker, Shatta Wale should be lauded for giving Beyonce the opportunity to ‘shine’.

He tweeted “I have never heard Beyoncé’s song before tho so big ups to Shattawale for giving her the opportunity to shine !!”

Beyonce teams up with the Vodafone Ghana Music Award winner on track 11 of the album titled ‘Already’.

The album also features several African artists including Tekno, Yemi Alade, Wizkid, Mr. Eazi.

The Lion King: The Gift will be released on July 19, 2019, via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records along with the live-action film, which features Bey as Nala.

Shatta Wale in celebrating the feat achieved mentioned that he dedicates it to the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akuffo Addo, although under his watch the country is going through tough times.
