Renowned record producer Edward Nana Poku Osei known in showbiz as Hammer is set to take over as Chief Marketing Officer of Fiat Africa.
According to a grapevine source, the appointment of Hammer who has been very instrumental in the success story of A1 bread takes immediate effect as the company prepares to launch officially in Ghana.
Fiat had a good representation in Ghana in the 70s and 80s and even though there’s an existing dealership in Ghana, it is highly anticipated that Hammer, will through his expertise play a pivotal role in making fiat a popular brand in the country again.
The company, owned by Paul Flaherty is already setting up a showroom at Cassa Trassaco and is gearing up for full representation in Ghana.
Hammer started as a music producer and is credited for nurturing and marketing a lot of artistes who subsequently have enjoyed longevity and successful careers until he was introduced to ‘business’ by Godfried Obeng Boateng, founder & CEO of Supreme State Limited.
Mr Boateng partnered Hammer and tasked him with the A1 Accra project which has turned out to be a total and obvious success story.
Undoubtedly, his unconventional style of marketing has yielded impeccable results hence his appointment may not come as a surprise to many.
Details of his contract are unknown but the probability of the deal being juicy is high considering the status of the company as well as the track record and intuitive capabilities of Hammer.
It is however unclear whether Hammer will still maintain his role as Vice President Supreme State Limited or relinquish his managerial role and just remain the face of the bread company that he has shares in.
