Gunna has shown his support to Young Thug and YSL members following his release from jail in December.
The DS4Ever rapper returned to Instagram on Tuesday (January 10) with his first post since taking a plea deal in the RICO case against the Atlanta collective, and called for Thug and Yak Gotti’s freedom while teasing his return to music.
“N-ggas acting like they switching to a side But it’s only one side,” he wrote alongside a photo of him sat next to a home studio set-up. “#YslTheLabel #FreeThug&Yak GUNNA BACC!!!!!”
6ix9ine took to the comments section to call out Gunna for referring to YSL as a label after acknowledging it was a “gang” as part of his guilty plea.
“In court you said it was a gang here on IG u saying the label,” the rainbow-haired rapper wrote. “Lol u can’t make this shit up.”
However, Gunna’s Alford plea involved him admitting to the judge that YSL was both “a music label and a gang.”

Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge on December 14 and was released from jail after being given a four-year sentence with one already served in prison. The rest of his sentence will be served in the form of 500 hours of community service.
6ix9ine previously trolled Gunna for taking a plea deal and allegedly incriminating Young Thug in the process.
“Just stfu and listen I know ya don’t wanna accept it,” he wrote. “Your man is fighting for his life in court on a gang RICO. Judge: You are aware YSL is a gang correct. Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am. Judge: ONLYYYYY you and Jeffrey are in the car and the police find a handgun and drugs. This didn’t belong to you correct? Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am.”
He added: “Go ahead and make your 1,000,0000 excuses. I stand on what ever I do or did. That’s why I’m still walking on this earth AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENS TO ME. I am him pussy. Real n-ggas getting shot and kicked in there face, can’t be me. Fatass Gunna: Yes Ma’am.”
6ix9ine also commented on the number of YSL members taking plea deals in the ongoing RICO case.
“Why Everybody so quiet,” he questioned. “When it was me everyone had something to say LMAO Rappers all of a sudden don’t got opinions because it’s y’all friends.”
In response to YSL Obama’s plea deal, he said: “15 years probation for attempted murder/conspiracy LMFAOO Probation for attempted murder is crazy people doing more time for smoking weed Like what?”
