GHOSTFACE KILLAH BRANDED ‘DEADBEAT’ DAD BY GAY SON: ‘YOU MADE ME HATE MYSELF’
Ghostface Killah has been branded a deadbeat dad by his gay son, who criticized the Wu-Tang legend for making him “hate” himself.
Ghostface’s son Infinite Coles took to Instagram on Monday (May 24) to post a lengthy condemnation of his rap legend father, and said he was “the full definition of a deadbeat.”
“I have never been the type to go online and talk about my personal life, my family or my emotions,” Infinite wrote. “However, today I’m giving an inside look into my broken heart, because I am feeling more lost and hopeless than I have ever been. @therealghostfacekillah I didn’t really want to do this; but at this point, I’m tired of keeping quiet to save your reputation. I’m tired of the PAIN. My heart has been aching and longing to be loved by you, MY FATHER for way too long.”
He continued, “So since you are unreachable perhaps this will get your attention. I haven’t had a full conversation with you or seen you in over 15 years! You haven’t once tried to reach out to me to see how I’m feeling or how I’m doing. I have messages that literally show me reaching out to you and receiving no response for over a DECADE!”
“The legend that you all love, Ghostface Killah is the full definition of a deadbeat. Dad, you let us live without light, gas or even communication from you for years. You have all this coin and yet you allow my uncles to clean up your mess. I have lived in a shelter for almost a year in 2020 during Covid and you haven’t reached out once to help me or to see if I was even alive!”
He went on to say that, “For many years, you made me hate myself, until I developed the courage to snap the fuck out of it and realize that there was nothing wrong with me, but there’s everything wrong with YOU.”
Infinite then concluded by saying he was tired of being ignored, and that he isn’t looking for money, but rather for his father’s love.
An established musician in his own right, this isn’t the first time Infinite Coles has spoken about what it was like growing up as Ghostface’s kin, telling NME that Ghostface is “a part” of him.
“I try my hardest to keep this life and that life separate,” he said at the time. “I feel like I’m talented enough for people to just love me for me and what I can bring to the table without being attached to him. But I never mind the questions about him because, clearly, he is a part of me. So I sometimes expect that question to come up at least one time in the interview.”
Infinite dropped off his Destiny EP in 2021, which featured appearances from Wiki and Coby Say.
As for Ghostface, he’ll soon appear on Large Professor‘s upcoming album Down South Up Top, which the latter announced in April.
