Ghana’s Parliament summon Telcos to come explain reason for high data charges
MTN Ghana’s decision to increase the prices of Data bundles birthed #SaveOurData campaign on Twitter and it appears the campaign is bringing good results.
Already, MTN Ghana issued a statement yesterday 2nd December 2019 that they’ll be re-looking at their data charges — that should mean they might bring it back to normal.
Well, Award-winning journalist, Saddick Adams who’s one of the pioneers of #SaveOurData movement has revealed that Ghana Parliament has taken an action against the Telecommunication companies.
In a tweet, Mr Saddick revealed that the Telcos are to appear before parliament tomorrow 4th December, 2019 to explain the reason behind their sudden high data charges.
‘BREAKING: Ghana’s Parliament has summoned the Telcom Companies to appear before it tomorrow to explain high costs to data after public outcry via #SaveOurData”, Saddick tweeted.
